Hon'ble Dr Vedprakash Mishrawho is presently the National Head of the Academic Programme of Indian Programme UNESCO Chair in Bio-Ethics Haifa is an illustrious member of the medical fraternity, well known not only in India but also overseas.
He has the distinction of being recognized as ‘Professor Emeritus’, ‘Professor of Eminence’, and ‘Professor of Excellence’, by five Health Sciences Universities in the country. He is holding the office of Pro-Chancellor-cum-Chief Advisor of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to Be University), Nagpur and also renders his services as the Honorary Director, Centre for Health Professional Education Policy and Planning.
He is the Honorary Advisor to the National Indian Medical Association and Chairman of the Standing Committee for Medical Education, with its headquarters in New Delhi. He is a Member of the Board of Management, Governing Council, and Advisory Council at various renowned educational institutions and organizations engaged in the field of Medical Education, Management and Research.
1. Conferred with prestigious Dr. B. C. Roy National Award for the year 2016 in the category of ‘To recognize the merit of an Eminent Medical Teacher’ ceremonially at the hands of the Hon’ble President of India, at Rashtrapati Bhawan on 28.03.2017
2. Conferred with D.Sc. (Honoris Causa) by Five Indian Health Sciences Universities and one D.M.Sc. (Honoris Causa) by an Indian Health Sciences University in recognition of selfless services rendered to the cause of medical education of impact and consequences at the National and International Levels.
